T-Rex-citing activities for kids who love dinosaurs
Kids love finding out new things about dinosaurs; it's amazing to think that magnificent creatures which died out so long ago can still exert such a powerful grip on childish imaginations.

Dinosaur arts and crafts
Picture a dinosaur and you might well think of long-necked Sauropods munching on the leaves of tall trees or upright Tyrannosaurus Rexes roaring furiously.
But Colour in Dinosaur Gliders are a reminder that many dinosaurs, including winged reptiles like the Icarosaurus, could fly. Kids will delight in colouring in the gliders with fibre pens then watching their creations take to the skies.
Colour in Dinosaur Masks are also great to make. Before kids colour them in, they should learn that dinosaurs' colours were a vital part of their survival –their camouflage helped them blend in with their habitats such as blue lagoons, yellow deserts and green forests.
Children who love dinosaurs like Triceratops will wish to have a mask with horns. Others will love the masks with exotically-feathered plumage.

Dinosaur films for kids
It's not just arts and crafts enthusiasts who love dinosaurs, as film producers are also fascinated by these glorious animals.
There are plenty of kids' films where dinosaurs rather than actors are the main stars. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is one of them. Made in 2009, this movie features the cast of the Ice Age film discovering a secret underground world populated by dinosaurs. Containing some real belly-laugh scenes, this film is suitable for ages 5+.
The Land Before Time is another film to look out for in the kids' section of the DVD shop. Made in 1988, this animated film still continues to enchant young generations with the tale of a group of dinosaurs who set out on an exciting journey to the Great Valley.
A Place where kids can ‘see' dinosaurs today
Watching these DVDs will make children want to see a real dinosaur. A trip to The Age of the Dinosaur Exhibition at the Natural History Museum is the next best thing. This event runs until 4th September 2011 and tickets are just £10 for adults and £6 for kids.
For that price, you can see fossilised remains, gigantic skeletons and an interactive world which recreates the deserts, lagoons and grasslands of 65 million years ago.
Take a good look among the museum's nooks and crannies and you are sure to see a Gallimimus, a Protoceratops or an Oviraptor; all creatures which are hard to pronounce but easy to love!
